Day 1. Arequipa - Cabanaconde to San Juan de Chuccho

03:00h Pick up from your hotel in Arequipa.

Departure to the Colca Canyon to Chivay where we will have breakfast then we go the Cruz del Condor to see the majestic flight of the condors, then we go to the town of Cabanaconde by car then we start walking towards the Colca Canyon, arrival San Juan de Chuccho after 3.5-hour free time to visit the local people to see the local terraces then dinner and overnight at a local family.


Day 2. San Juan de Chuccho-Sangalle (oasis)

After breakfast we begin the walk to Sangalle (oasis). We are going to visit other villages like Cosñirhua, Malata and reached Sangalle (oasis) for 3 hours. We will have lunch and we enjoy the rejuvenating pools there, free afternoon, dinner and overnight.


Day 3. Oasis-Cabanaconde - Chivay - Arequipa

We begin the walk at 05:00h to the town of Cabanaconde, this hike takes about 3 hours (ascent). Arriving in Cabanaconde we will have breakfast after our transport back to Chivay, visit to the villages viewpoints and thermal baths then we are going to visit Chivay there we have lunch. 

Later come back to the Arequipa City arriving at 18:00h approximately.

        • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
        • Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
        • Must to take with you: Sunscreen, Mosquito repellent, clothing and shoes suitable for walking. Flashlight and swimwear
        • Note: Passengers must carry their personal belongings during the trek, small backpack are recommended
        • A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
        • Minimum age is 13 years
        • Not necessary to present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
        What to bring
          • - Cash to pay the Colca entrance fee TKT 70 soles p / p (mandatory)
          • - Cash for the last lunch 35 soles p/p & for hot springs then 15 soles (both are optional on last day)
          • - Suitable Clothing for cold / wind / sun
          • - Flashlight
          • - Trekking backpack and everything for trekking (only necessary things for 3 days of hiking)
          • - Good hiking boots
          • - Snacks / water bottles
          • - Towel / toilet paper
          • - Sunscreen and hat highly important
          • - Hiking sticks (If you don't have you can buy bamboo sticks at the starting point)
